Chessplode: A Modern Twist on Chess
- The Modern Rule: Chessplode takes the classic game of chess and adds an exciting twist. When you capture a piece, everything in the same line and column will explode. However, if a king is in that line or column, it will be a simple capture without any explosions.
- Think Distinct: This rule adds a whole new level of complexity to the game. Unlike traditional chess where you must solely focus on protecting your king, in Chessplode, it's possible for your king to save your pieces. It's important to be strategic in your captures to avoid leaving yourself vulnerable to a checkmate. Sometimes, capturing a piece that explodes can lead to victory, while other times, you may find yourself worried about having multiple pieces in the same line or column.
